- NADRA issues Child Registration Certificates (CRC) to minors in Pakistan.
- CRC is crucial for registering newborns with NADRA’s records.
- The process of obtaining a CRC has been streamlined by NADRA.
In Lahore, the National Database Registration Authority (Nadra) provides the Child Registration Certificate, or B-form, for all underage individuals in Pakistan.
The Child Registration Certificate serves as a way to register a newborn with NADRA’s records. It is considered the basic right of a child to obtain a registration certificate from their birthplace. NADRA has automated the process, making it easier for individuals to acquire child registration certificates.
To obtain a CRC, individuals need to submit documented proof of the child’s birth to the union council. Additionally, at least one parent must possess either a National Identity Card (NIC) or a National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP).
According to regulations, parents are required to register their children within three months of their birth.
