Punjab’s Education Minister has announced the summer break schedule for schools and colleges as temperatures soar.

Following the previous year’s pattern, the vacation spans two months, typically aligning with temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius. Forecasts predict a climb to 39°C in May 2024, surpassing 40°C in June 2024.

The summer break is set to start from June 7, 2024, until August 19, 2024, as confirmed by the Education Minister. An official notice from the Education Department is anticipated soon.

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) previously warned of peak temperatures hitting 49.5 degrees Celsius in June. Additionally, August might see temperatures soaring to 48.63 degrees Celsius.
