ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has designated Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar as the Deputy Prime Minister of the country with immediate effect.

To this effect, the cabinet division issued a notification on Sunday (today).

Meanwhile, participating in a session of the World Economic Forum in Riyadh Sunday, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has emphasized the need for international collaboration amidst global challenges like climate change, preparation for the next pandemic, and a governance regime for Artificial Intelligence.

He also underlined the immense potential of South Asia to revitalize global economic growth through enhanced regional connectivity.
