Karachi police have made a traffic plan for the visit of foreign dignitaries on April 23, including closing important roads for safety and smooth traffic flow.
On April 23, the following main roads will be closed to traffic:
- Club Road Closure: The stretch from PIDC to Metropole will be closed for the day.
- Ziauddin Road Closure: From Ziauddin Traffic Signal (Ziauddin Bridge) to PIDC Chowk and from Khajoor Chowk to PIDC Chowk will be inaccessible.
Also, Dr. Ziauddin Ahmed Road will be closed from Khajoor Chowk to PIDC as per the Traffic Police’s instructions.
For redirecting traffic, the following routes are suggested:
- From Sultanabad: Utilize Dr. Ziauddin Road to reach Ivan Sadar Road via Khajoor Chowk.
- From Shahrae Faisal to Sultanabad: Make a left turn at Club Chowk and access Clifton Bridge and Board Basin by turning left from Club Chowk.
- From Khaliq-ul-Zaman Road and Ghazri, take a right turn at the Ziauddin light signal towards Fawara Chowk and Awan Sadar.
- From Shaheen Complex: Turn right at Khajoor Chowk for smooth navigation.
