The Karachi traffic police have suspended the collection of lifting fees for motorcycles and cars illegally parked outside all shopping centers until Eidul Fitr 2024.
DIG Traffic Ahmed Nawaz, in his announcement to the citizens of Karachi, stated that any cars and motorcycles that are towed after Iftar will be returned free of charge.
He also urged the public to avoid parking their vehicles in areas that could obstruct traffic flow.
He mentioned that traffic police officers have been advised not to issue unnecessary challans to citizens. However, the DIG noted that officials have been instructed to issue tickets for one-way and wrong-way driving violations.
In anticipation of the upcoming Eidul Fitr 2024, which is predicted to be on April 10, the citizens of Karachi have embarked on a shopping spree.
