Rain, Snowfall expected in Islamabad, Pakistan

More rain, wind, and thunderstorms are expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and parts of Pakistan on Wednesday night and Thursday. According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), there is a shallow westerly wave over the upper parts of Pakistan, which is likely to continue for the next 24 hours.

This weather condition will bring rain, wind, and thunderstorms, along with snowfall in high mountain areas, to isolated places in upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and the Pothohar region on Wednesday night. On Thursday, similar conditions are expected in upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir, with possible rain and thunderstorms in south Punjab and southwestern Balochistan.

The maximum temperatures in Islamabad are predicted to be between 28-30 degrees Celsius on Thursday and 29-31 on Friday, while in Rawalpindi, they will be around 28-30 degrees Celsius on both days.

In the past 24 hours, rain, wind, and thunderstorms occurred in isolated places in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, the Pothohar region, and Lasbella. The recorded rainfall and snowfall amounts are listed for various regions across Pakistan.

Elsewhere in the country, dry weather prevailed, with Nawabshah and Jacobabad experiencing the hottest temperatures at 39 degrees Celsius. In Islamabad, the maximum temperature was 29 degrees Celsius, with a relative humidity of 45 percent in the evening.
