On Tuesday, the total pollen count in Islamabad reached 10,633 per cubic meter of air, compared to 9,488 the previous day, according to data released by the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD). In the H-8 sector, the count was 10,633, while it was 3,750 in G-6, 3,372 in E-8, and 2,060 in F-10.
Medical experts have advised individuals with pollen allergies to take necessary precautions due to the alarmingly high pollen concentrations across all sectors of Islamabad. The most abundant pollen types in Islamabad include Paper Mulberry, Acacia, Eucalyptus, Pines, Grasses, Cannabis, Dandelion, and Alternaria. Among these, Paper Mulberry has the highest pollen count at 9,393.
The pollen concentrations of other species are as follows: Cannabis 25 (moderate), Grasses 17 (moderate), Alternaria 33 (low), Pine 13 (moderate), and Acacia, Eucalyptus, and Dandelion at zero. The total pollen concentration stands at 10,545, which is considered very high.
Comparatively, the previous day (Monday) saw lower pollen counts for Cannabis (27 moderate), Grasses (15 moderate), Alternaria (36 low), Pine (17 moderate), and Acacia, Eucalyptus, and Dandelion at zero.
