The Punjab Excise, Taxation, and Narcotics Control Department has introduced an innovative mobile application for vehicle registration to transform the cumbersome registration process.

This user-friendly app, tailored for Punjab residents, enables them to complete vehicle registration conveniently from their homes, eliminating the need to visit government offices.

The rollout of the Punjab Excise Mobile Registration Service commenced at various locations, starting at the Quaid-e-Azam Library parking lot in Bagh-e-Jinnah on March 19, followed by launches at Liberty Chowk in Gulberg, Fortress Stadium in Lahore Cantt, and Maulana Shaukat Ali Road Car Market in Johar Town on subsequent days.

In partnership with the Punjab Motor Dealers Association, the Punjab Excise and Taxation Department seeks to promote smooth vehicle registration and transfer through this digital platform, ensuring adherence to legal requirements and preventing penalties.

This initiative represents a significant advancement in simplifying the vehicle registration process, providing residents with a convenient alternative to lengthy government office visits.

Moreover, the introduction of a digital registration card in January 2024 by the Punjab Excise and Taxation and Narcotics Department addresses a persistent concern for new vehicle owners, mitigating fines often imposed by traffic police due to delays in card issuance.

Implementing this new mobile app and digital card system reflects the government’s commitment to enhancing citizen experiences and tackling key challenges encountered by vehicle owners in Punjab.
