In 2024, there is good news for car enthusiasts as several car manufacturers have begun reducing prices, including Honda, which has announced a price drop for its popular sedan, the City, in Pakistan.
Following Toyota’s lead, Honda Atlas Cars reduced their prices by Rs140,000.
The City MT 1.2L is now priced at Rs4.649 million, with a discount of Rs50,000, while the City CVT 1.2L’s price has been lowered by Rs140,000 to Rs4.689 million.

The price reduction is a response to the recent 25% increase in sales tax on vehicles priced above Rs4 million.
Honda Atlas Pakistan is exempt from the increased tax on cars with engine sizes above 1400 cc and those priced above Rs 4 million.

The newly elected government initially planned to increase taxes for cars with engine sizes of 1400 cc and above. However, SUVs below 1400 cc were also impacted, leading to the implementation of a Rs 4 million price cap.
