Pak Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) raised the price by 6.3%, citing high sales tax on locally assembled vehicles as one of the main reasons. The government recently increased the sales tax from 18% to 25% for vehicles priced above Rs4 million.
This is the second time Pak Suzuki has increased the price of the Swift GLX CVT in a month. On March 1, they raised it by Rs85,000 due to inflation and rising raw material prices.
