The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) has published a job advertisement for open positions in the Special Branch of the Punjab Police.
Applications are being invited for the role of Intelligence Officer (BS-14) from men, women, and transgender individuals across Punjab.
Number of Vacancies for Intelligence Officer Post The department has declared its intention to hire 43 officers on a two-year contract basis. Of the total, 15 positions will be reserved for women, three for special persons, and two for minorities.
Educational Requirements
Candidates must have a graduation degree (second division) from a University recognized by the Higher Education Commission and basic computer knowledge.
OR
Candidates must be graduates (second division) from a University recognized by the Higher Education Commission and have five years of experience in the Intelligence Wing of Law Enforcement Agencies.
Age Limit
Male: 21 to 35+05 = 40 years
Female: 21 to 35+08 = 43 years
The age and gender of transgender applicants will be determined based on the information on their CNIC.
Syllabus for Written Test for Intelligence Officer Post
A one-paper MCQ type written test of 100 marks and 90 minutes duration will be held. The syllabus is as follows:
80% of the test will comprise questions related to General Ability including General Knowledge, Pakistan Studies, Current Affairs, Islamic Studies (General Knowledge for Non-Muslim candidates), Geography, Basic Mathematics, English, Urdu, Everyday Science.
The remaining 20% of the paper will consist of questions related to Basic Computer Studies.
