According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), Rain-wind/thunderstorms are predicted in Lahore and parts of Punjab on Wednesday night and Thursday.

As per the synoptic condition, continental air conquers over most parts of the country. A weak westerly wave succeeds over northern parts of Balochistan and western parts of the country. It will likely spread the upper parts from tonight and may persist till tomorrow (Thursday).

Under these conditions, cloudy weather with light rain-wind/thunderstorm is expected at isolated places in Layyah, Bhakkar, Dera Ghazi Khan, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Khushab, Mianwali, Chakwal, Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Attock, Sialkot, Gujrat, Narowal and Lahore on Wednesday night. Rains with snowfall are likely in Murree, Galyat and surroundings. Cold and dry weather is expected elsewhere in the province.

On Thursday, cloudy weather with light rain-wind/thunderstorm is expected at isolated places in Khushab, Mianwali, Chakwal, Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Attock, Sialkot, Gujrat, Narowal and Lahore during the morning hours. Light rain-wind/thunderstorm is expected in Murree, Galyat and surroundings. Cold and dry weather is expected elsewhere in the province.

Lahore’s lowest temperatures will likely remain between 08-10 degrees Celsius on Thursday and 10-12 C on Friday.

Meanwhile, cold and dry weather conquered in most parts of the province during the last 24 hours. Freezing weather prevailed in the upper districts.

Murree remained the coolest place in the province where the temperature dropped 01 C below freezing. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 55 percent.

In Lahore, lowest temperature was recorded at 09 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 69 percent.
