LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) called a meeting of the parliamentary party in the National Assembly on February 28(tomorrow).

According to party sources, the meeting of the parliamentary party will be held on February 28 at 3 o’clock in the Parliament House, which will be presided over by party leader Nawaz Sharif, while Nawaz Sharif will host a dinner in honor of the newly elected members at the Punjab House.

Sources said that the decision to nominate Shahbaz Sharif as the Prime Minister will be confirmed in the meeting and during this the strategy of the National Assembly session on February 29 will be finalized.

On this occasion, the coalition parties will support the decision to make Shehbaz Sharif the Prime Minister.

Earlier, Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) said that, as per Article 41(4) of the Constitution, presidential elections must be held within 30 days following the general elections.

With the conclusion of the 2024 general elections and the release of preliminary results, the ECP has initiated preparations for both the presidential elections and the inaugural sessions of all assemblies as mandated by the constitution.
