QUETTA: The Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) has decided to nominate its candidate for the slot of Chief Minister of Balochistan.
The JUI-F has reached out to the National Party, Awami National Party, and the Balochistan National Party-P in order to form a coalition government in Balochistan.
A meeting is scheduled among these political parties today to discuss governmental matters. Insider sources revealed that the JUI-F intends to nominate candidates for the positions of Speaker and Deputy Speaker as well.

In a separate development, former President and Pakistan People’s Party Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari held discussions with Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani regarding issues concerning Balochistan.
The Balochistan Assembly is set to convene on Wednesday, February 28, for the swearing-in of newly elected Members of the Provincial Assembly (MPAs).
Governor Balochistan Abdul Wali Kakar has officially summoned the assembly meeting through a notification. The session is slated to commence at 3 pm on February 28, with Speaker Balochistan Assembly Jan Jamali administering the oath to the elected representatives, formalizing their entry into the legislative body.
