ISLAMABAD: The Federal Cabinet approved the inclusion of 35 names in the Exit Control List (ECL), barring them from leaving the country.

This decision comes amidst ongoing efforts to combat corruption and financial crimes. While approving 4 persons to go abroad under one-time permission, the cases of 26 persons were postponed based on various reasons.

According to sources, names have been included in the ECL in cases of corruption, crimes, and damage to national exchequer.

On the summary of the Ministry of Interior, approval has been taken from the federal cabinet through circulation, and approval was also given to remove the names of 30 persons from the exit control list while 4 persons were allowed to go abroad under one-time permission.

Earlier, Former Commissioner Rawalpindi Liaquat Ali Chattha has recorded his statement to the Election Commission Committee on the allegations of serious irregularities in the general elections.
