Peshawar: The caretaker government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has prepared the budget for the next 4 months.

The Finance Department, Ahmed Rasool Bangash, has prepared a budget for the period from March 1 to June 30, 2024, in which the budget for 4 months has been estimated at 560 billion rupees.

The finance department further added that initially one month’s budget will be approved as the current budget period will end on February 29, after which it will be illegal to spend even a single rupee.

Furthermore, at least one month’s budget approval is mandatory for running the day-to-day affairs, the caretaker government had approved the budget twice for four months, the budget has been prepared and sent to the cabinet for approval.

Ahmed Rasool Bangash said that it is up to the cabinet to approve the budget for 4 or 1 month, if the permanent government comes, then it will approve the budget.

It is the power of the cabinet to approve the budget for 4 months or 1 month, if the permanent government comes, then it will approve the budget.

In addition to that, approval of the budget is currently mandatory for running routine affairs.
