In the re-counting of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Constituency PK-40 Mansehra, the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) candidate was declared successful.
The re-counting of 173 polling stations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Constituency PK 40 Mansehra has been completed, in which the candidate of PML-N Sardar Shahjahan Yousuf has been declared successful again.
In the re-counting at 173 polling stations in the constituency, Sardar Shahjahan Yousuf got 43,014 votes, while PTI-backed independent candidate Shakoor Laghmani got 42,918 votes.
However, the Election Commission officials also issued Form 47 of PK 40 after the recount.
It may be noted that PTI-backed independent candidate Shakoor Laghmani had expressed doubt over the result of PK 40 Mansehra and requested a recount.
Earlier, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has officially announced the winners for 36 National Assembly seats in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
In a notification released by the ECP, the successful candidates have been instructed to align themselves with a political party of their choice within the next three days.
