The UAE Cabinet has directed the postponement of the law that specifies and regulates the weights and dimensions of heavy vehicles in the country. The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure has been tasked with conducting an extensive study on decision rationales, while the Ministry of Economy has been instructed to collaborate with all economic entities to study and take necessary measures to prevent any unjustified increase in prices.

Earlier this year, the government announced the maximum weight and dimensions for heavy vehicles on federal roads, with violators facing fines of up to Dh15,000.
