QUTEEA: A coalition of four parties initiated road blockades across Balochistan in protest against alleged electoral fraud on Sunday.

A wheel-jam strike and demonstration are currently underway in Quetta and other urban centers of Balochistan, organized by a four-party alliance comprising BNP-Mengal, Pashtunkhwa MAP, the National Party, and the Hazara Democratic Party.

Protesters have obstructed the National Highway with barriers at N-65 Naari, alleging election manipulation. Similarly, the highway was shut down in Sohbatpur as part of the protest.

At Mughal Chowk in Kalat, demonstrators closed off the Quetta-Karachi National Highway to traffic during the protest.

Additionally, roads were blocked in Khuzdar in protest against election results. In Mastung, National Party workers staged a demonstration at Shams Abad crossing, while BNP workers blocked the road at Dasht 13-Mile.

In Jaffarabad, protesters staged a sit-in at Shahi Chowki point and blocked the N-65 highway.

Furthermore, Harnai to Quetta and Harnai to Punjab highways were also closed by the protesters.

In Chaman, vehicular traffic was halted during a protest at the Garang point of the Quetta-Chaman highway.

Pashtunkhwa MAP workers protested and blocked the Quetta and D.I.Khan highways in Zhob.

A demonstration was also staged in Gwadar at Sar Bandar Cross, resulting in the closure of the Makran Coastal Highway.

Following a protest in Chagai, the Pak-Iran highway was shut down for all traffic.

The blockade of various roads in Balochistan has led to the suspension of traffic, causing lengthy queues of stranded passengers and cargo vehicles as a result of the protest.
