According to Downdetector, a website that tracks online service statuses, there has been a rise in complaints from users in Pakistan who are unable to access X (formerly Twitter).
Their data shows that X went down around 8:30 pm, and users in Pakistan are still unable to use the service.
It’s worth noting that internet services in Pakistan have been unreliable lately, with several social media outages and overall degraded performance.
Earlier, the Director General of Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), Ahmed Shamim Pirzada, mentioned that internet slowdowns were caused by technical issues during a software update.
Additionally, PTA is currently upgrading their Web Monitoring System (WMS), which could also lead to internet problems for users until the upgrade is completed.
