In a recent update, the Department of Transport in Punjab has announced changes to fare rates for both the Metro Orange Line and the Metro Bus service, affecting commuters across the region.
Starting immediately, the minimum fare for the Metro Orange Line train, which connects important locations in Lahore, has been increased from Rs 20 to Rs 25. This adjustment aims to improve service quality and meet operational standards.
Moreover, the maximum fare for the Orange Line train has also gone up, from Rs 40 to Rs 45. This small fare adjustment is intended to ensure sustainable operations while still offering efficient transportation options to the public.
Alongside the changes to Orange Line fares, commuters using the Lahore and Multan Metro Bus Service will also see a revision in fare rates, which have been raised from Rs 20 to Rs 25. This reflects ongoing efforts to streamline operations and maintain service quality.
While these adjustments may require some adaptation for regular commuters, they are expected to contribute to the overall enhancement of public transportation services in Punjab.
