On Thursday, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced the discontinuation of special hospitality box offerings and the distribution of complimentary tickets for HBL PSL 9.

The PCB’s decision includes the sale of VIP box tickets for upcoming matches in the Pakistan Super League Season 9. The move ends the longstanding practice of providing free tickets for all matches.

This decision by the PCB has led to savings of approximately 25 crores, primarily due to enhanced security measures and streamlined administrative procedures.

In the previous season, tensions arose between the Punjab government and PCB regarding the allocation of complimentary tickets.

In a display of accountability, Chairman Mohsin Naqvi pledged to personally cover the expenses for decorating and adorning the Chairman’s office.

Preparations are underway for the embellishment of the Chairman’s office at the iconic Gaddafi Stadium, indicating a comprehensive overhaul in the administrative landscape of Pakistan cricket.
