The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasts varying degrees of rainfall in Peshawar and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday evening/night and the two following days. This is due to a westerly wave affecting the upper regions of Pakistan.
The synoptic situation indicates that areas including Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Manshera, Abbottabad, Balakot, Mardan, Haripur, Peshawar, Kohat, Kurrum, Bannu, and Waziristan can expect rain, wind, thunderstorms, and hill snowfall during this period.
In Peshawar, the minimum temperature is expected to range between 08-10 degrees Celsius on Thursday and 06-08 C on Friday.
Over the last 24 hours, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa experienced cold and dry weather. Malam Jabba was the coldest location in the country, with temperatures dropping to 01 C. In Peshawar, the minimum temperature recorded was 08 C, and the relative humidity in the morning reached 93 percent.
