Prize Bonds are special tickets issued by the central bank, sort of like a lottery. The next draw is for 1,500 Prize Bonds. Even though they don’t earn interest, they’re regulated by the State Bank of Pakistan. Winners are picked every few months through lucky draws run by National Savings.
When you buy Prize Bonds, it’s like giving a loan to the government, or in this case, the State Bank of Pakistan. National Savings announces the schedule for these draws, which usually happen every three months.
For example, this month, the draw for the 1,500 Prize Bond (Lucky Draw No. 97) is set for Thursday, February 15, 2024, in Lahore.
