Shaban was expected to start in Pakistan on February 10; however, the moon of the eighth Islamic month has not been sighted.
As individuals eagerly awaited the arrival of the month preceding Ramadan, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee declared that the Shaban moon had not been sighted anywhere in the entire country.
Following the declaration by the primary authority, the Ministry of Religious Affairs issued a notification to inform the public of the official decision.

Ruet has announced that the first day of Shaban 1445 Hijri will be on February 12 (Monday), and Shab-e-Barat will be observed on February 26.
