Because of expected unstable weather conditions, government employees in Dubai are allowed to work from home on February 12, following instructions from Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai.

This applies to all government agencies in Dubai, except for jobs that require being physically present.

The National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) has been holding meetings to monitor the changing weather.

They’ve issued alerts for various weather events from Sunday to Tuesday, including rain, lightning, thunder, and possible hail.

NCEMA assures that safety measures are in place, showing the country’s readiness for the temperature drop.

Residents are advised to follow safety guidelines, especially in flood-prone areas, and drivers are warned to be extremely careful, avoiding water channels and paths that could flood. Authorities emphasize the importance of relying on official information and discourage the spread of rumors.

As Dubai prepares for bad weather, everyone is encouraged to be cautious, take safety measures, and government employees are given the flexibility to work remotely.
