The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicts partly cloudy weather with a chance of varying intensity rainfall for Lahore and parts of Punjab throughout the week. A westerly wave is affecting the upper regions of Pakistan and is likely to impact the southern and western parts of the country from today evening/night.
Under these conditions, Murree, Galyat, and surrounding areas can expect rain, wind, thunderstorms, and snow on Thursday evening/night, Friday, and Saturday. Isolated places in Attock, Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Chakwal, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Lahore, and Narowal may also experience rain, wind, and thunderstorms. The rest of the province will have cold and dry weather.
Fog is anticipated during the night in Lahore, Sialkot, Narowal, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Okara, Multan, Khanpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Dera Ghazi Khan, and surrounding areas.
Lahore’s minimum temperature is expected to range between 08-10 degrees Celsius on Friday and Saturday.
In the last 24 hours, rainfall occurred in Islamabad, the Pothohar region, and northeast/central Punjab. Notable rainfall includes Islamabad (Zero Point 37mm, Saidpur 29mm), Rawalpindi (Shamsabad 37mm, Chaklala 22mm), and Murree 22mm. Murree was the coldest place in the province, with temperatures dropping 2 degrees Celsius below freezing. In Lahore, the minimum temperature was recorded at 09 degrees Celsius, with 93 percent relative humidity in the morning.
