How to check voting, polling stations through mobile device?

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), in conjunction with NADRA, has introduced a text messaging service aimed at assisting eligible voters in verifying their registration status.

By sending their CNIC number via SMS to 8300, individuals can obtain information regarding their constituencies, polling stations, and block codes. Effective January 29, the ECP has eliminated the Rs2 charge per message, making the SMS service free of charge.

To check their voting status, voters are instructed to input their CNIC without hyphens or spaces and send it to 8300.

This user-friendly method allows individuals to access and update their voter records promptly. Additionally, the ECP emphasizes the importance of voters bringing their Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs) to the polling station on election day.

Notably, even if the CNIC is expired, voters can still cast their votes, or they can utilize the token issued for obtaining a new CNIC. This initiative aims to streamline the verification process and enhance voter participation by providing convenient and cost-free access to essential electoral information.
