The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasts cold and dry weather for Karachi, Hyderabad, and most of Sindh over the weekend. Continental air dominates the region, and a shallow westerly wave may impact the upper parts of the country.
Expect mainly cold and dry conditions in Karachi, Hyderabad, and most Sindh districts on Friday evening/night, Saturday, and Sunday. Dadu, Larkana, and nearby areas may experience partly cloudy skies with light rain/drizzle on Friday evening/night.
Fog/smog is likely in Jacobabad, Hyderabad, Mohenjo-Daro, Sukkur, Ghotki, Khairpur, Kashmore, and Padidan on Friday night, persisting into Saturday and Sunday in these areas. Day temperatures in most districts may be below normal due to dense fog.
Anticipate minimum temperatures of 13-15 degrees Celsius in Karachi and 10-12 degrees Celsius in Hyderabad on Saturday and Sunday.
Over the past 24 hours, cold and dry weather prevailed in Sindh. Mohenjo-Daro recorded the lowest temperature at 05 degrees Celsius with 93% humidity. Karachi had a minimum temperature of 14 degrees Celsius with 69% humidity, while Hyderabad recorded 10 degrees Celsius with 82% humidity. Fog/smog in upper districts disrupted normal vehicular movement on inter and intra-city roads.
