All educational institutions in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa(KP) will remain closed in next month from 7th to 9th February, due to the upcoming general elections.
While the official decision has been concluded, the formal announcement is expected in the initial week of February.
Due to the upcoming elections on February 8, where schools and colleges assist as central polling stations, educational institutions will be shut down during that time.
Sources told a local media out that teachers will play an important role as polling staff during the elections. This has led to the decision to close educational institutions for three days.
The final decision regarding the closure of all schools and colleges will be announced two or three days before the general elections.
