PML-N’s Sumaira Malik resigns from party

LAHORE: Vice President Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz(PML-N)  Punjab chapter Sumaira Malik separated from the party after not getting a ticket.

Former federal minister Sumaira Malik has sent her resignation to the president of PML-N Punjab Rana Sanaullah.

Sources said Sumaira Malik had asked the PML-N for a ticket for a women’s reserved seat and after not getting the ticket, she sent her resignation to Rana Sanaullah.

Sumaira Malik’s spokesperson Sami ul Haq Awan has said that the party ignored seasoned politician and now she will support the candidates of the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party(IPP) in the election.

Earlier,  Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has unveiled its list of candidates for the National Assembly and Punjab Assembly seats in Lahore District for the upcoming general elections on Feb 8.

A significant electoral contest is anticipated in Lahore, as the PML-N has chosen former minister Attaullah Tarar to face off against Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal-Bhutto Zardari in NA-127.
