FO denies government backing for Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s Afghanistan Visit

Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch has said that the government is not supporting Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s visit to Afghanistan; it is a private visit.

Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said in a press conference that Maulana Fazlur Rehman has gone to Afghanistan in a private capacity. The government of Pakistan is not supporting Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s visit in this regard, and there is no comment on Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s visit or meetings. I will take a briefing from Maulana Fazlur Rehman after the visit.

He said that Pakistan is not interested in dialogue with the outlawed TTP; our demand is that the interim government of Afghanistan take action against the terrorists. While Pakistan believes in dialogue and diplomacy, we hope peace and stability in the region through dialogue.

Talking about the situation in Gaza, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said that South Africa welcomes taking the issue of Gaza to the International Court of Justice, we fully support South Africa, and Pakistan considers this legal process in South Africa timely. And demand an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and an end to the massacre of Palestinians.

Spokesperson of the Foreign Office, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, while talking about the Kashmir issue, added that since 70 years, India has been denying the right to self-determination of Kashmiris. India staged the drama of Pulwama for a political game. Ajay Basaria’s statement is India’s fascism. Reflects the mindset.
