Realme has been discussing the periscope camera feature on its upcoming phones for more than a week, and now the company has provided additional information about the camera setup on the Realme 12 Pro, along with an expected launch timeframe.
The Realme 12 Pro series is anticipated to feature two models, Pro and Pro+, both equipped with a Sony IMX890 main sensor featuring optical image stabilization (OIS) for capturing stable images. The main camera will have a 24mm focal length, and the periscope shooter will be built around an OV64B sensor.
Realme has revealed that the periscope camera used in the GT 5 Pro flagship will be incorporated into the 12 Pro phones. Additionally, the Realme Pro 12 devices will feature a 3x portrait mode with a 71mm focal length and a telephoto shooter, enabling a 120x digital zoom.
As is customary, the camera arrangement will feature an ultrawide camera, offering lossless zoom at various lengths such as 0.6x, 1x, 2x, 3x, and 6x, in addition to the periscope camera “providing a full-focal-length lossless zoom photographic experience comparable to that of a flagship device.”

Accompanying these camera specifications is a promotional image featuring a Realme 12 Pro phone, though there is uncertainty about whether it is the Pro or Pro+ variant. The device is showcasing the Submarine Blue color choice, and judging by its high-end appearance, it is probably the Pro+ model. The design collaboration for this model was undertaken in partnership with the luxury watchmaker Ollivier Saveo.
Realme has stated that the Pro series smartphones will include a golden fluted bezel crafted through CNC cutting, a sunburst dial with a polished finish, high-quality vegan leather, and a 3D jubilee bracelet.
