Reema Kagti, co-founder of Tiger Baby Films, has confirmed that the highly anticipated movie “Jee Le Zaraa,” co-directed by Zoya Akhtar, will indeed feature Priyanka Chopra, alongside Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt in lead roles. Kagti stated in an interview, “Jee Le Zaraa will go on floors with the same cast.” The film will be directed by Farhan Akhtar, who somewhat fueled the speculations about the film’s delay by announcing “Don 3” earlier this week, a project in which Ranveer Singh replaces Shah Rukh Khan.

Rumours had circulated suggesting that Priyanka Chopra might have left “Jee Le Zaraa” due to the film’s delay. According to a source cited by Hindustan Times, Chopra’s unavailability to shoot in 2023 due to her Hollywood commitments led her to ask if filming could be postponed to the following year. However, scheduling conflicts emerged as Alia Bhatt was already committed to other projects in 2024. Despite Priyanka Chopra’s departure, the source emphasized there was no animosity between her and the team.

Regarding Priyanka’s replacement, the source indicated that no decision had been made yet and that the makers would start exploring options.

In a recent interview with India Today, Zoya Akhtar affirmed that the film was not cancelled, stating, “We’re just waiting for the dates.” Earlier in March, Farhan Akhtar had also affirmed his preparations for the film, sharing a picture on Instagram of him walking in a desert landscape, captioned, “Searching for gold #locationscout #jeelezaraa #rajasthan.”

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs has issued a notification for the dissolution of the National Assembly, Bol News reported on Thursday.

The president dissolved the National Assembly under Article 58-1, read the notification issued by the ministry.

President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Ali dissolved National Assembly on in the wee hour of Thursday on the advice of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

PM Shehbaz sent the advice to the President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Ali to dissolve the National Assembly tonight, sources said.

The president dissolved the National Assembly under Article 58 of the Constitution. With the dissolution of the lower house, the current government’s tenure ended prematurely.

“The president shall dissolve the National Assembly if so advised by the prime minister; and the National Assembly shall, unless sooner dissolved, stand dissolved at the expiration of forty-eight hours after the prime minister has so advised,” the article reads.

The cabinet will be dissolved and Prime Minister Shehbaz will remain in office until the caretaker prime minister is appointed.

Rajinikanth’s action-packed film “Jailer” made its global theatrical debut on Thursday, sparking widespread celebrations among the superstar’s fans. Eager supporters danced outside cinema halls, with certain businesses in Chennai and Bengaluru even declaring a day off to mark the occasion. The movie showcases two distinct personas of Rajinikanth’s character, ‘Tiger’ Muthuvel Pandian. A distinguished ensemble cast graces “Jailer,” featuring luminaries like Ramya Krishnan, Jackie Shroff, Priyanka Mohan, Shiva Rajkumar, Yogi Babu, Vasanth Ravi, and Vinayakan. Additionally, Mohanlal makes an extended cameo appearance. A highlight is Tamannaah Bhatia’s hit dance sequence “Kaavaalaa” from the film.

Unveiled in February last year under the working title “Thalaivar 169,” the film signifies Rajinikanth’s 169th cinematic venture. The shoot wrapped up in June this year, commemorated by Rajinikanth cutting a grand cake alongside Tamannaah Bhatia.

As per a Sacnilk.com report, “Jailer” secured around ₹18.24 crore in advance bookings across India, with the Tamil version alone accounting for approximately ₹16 crore. The Telugu version logged an advance booking of about ₹2 crore prior to its release. These numbers strongly suggest the movie’s opening day earnings in India could easily exceed ₹20 crore.

While it’s said that “Jailer” was crafted with a budget of around ₹200 crore, no official confirmation has been provided. A report indicates that Rajinikanth received a staggering ₹110 crore for his involvement in the project.

“Jailer” arrives more than a year after Rajinikanth’s previous film, “Annaatthe.” Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the film casts Rajinikanth as Jailer Muthuvel Pandian. The pre-release popularity of Tamannaah Bhatia’s dance track “Kaavaalaa” has been substantial, showcasing her captivating dance moves. Sung by Shilpa Rao and Anirudh Ravichander, with lyrics by Arunraja Kamaraj, the song has gained viral attention among fans.

Upon learning of Spandana’s passing, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM DK Shivakumar extended their condolences to the grieving family. Siddaramaiah expressed his shock and offered prayers for Spandana’s soul, offering condolences to both Vijaya Raghavendra’s and BK Shivaram’s families, who were impacted by the loss.

DK Shivakumar also conveyed his sadness, recounting his recent meeting with the couple and wishing Spandana’s soul to rest in peace. He extended his sympathies to the family and friends of the couple.

In a statement to the media, Spandana’s brother-in-law Srimurali shared that her passing was unexpected and attributed it to low blood pressure. Spandana and Vijay had been married since 2007 and had a son named Shourya. Tragically, her passing occurred just days before their 16th wedding anniversary on August 27th.

FAA Approves California Company’s Flying Car

Alef Aeronautics, a California startup, has received clearance for takeoff from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for its prototype flying car, known as the “Model A.” This achievement marks a significant milestone as the Model A becomes the first flying vehicle capable of driving on public roads and parking like a conventional car to receive FAA flight clearance.

The FAA issued a special airworthiness certificate for research, development, and exhibition purposes, stating that while the Model A is not the first of its kind to receive such certification, it stands out as the only vehicle takeoff and landing (VTOL) aircraft that combines the ability to drive and park like a regular car.

Jim Dukhovny, CEO of Alef Aeronautics, expressed excitement about the certification, highlighting the potential of the Model A to offer an environmentally friendly and faster commute. Dukhovny stated that the certification brings them closer to their goal of revolutionizing transportation, saving individuals and companies valuable time each week.

Inspired by futuristic technology depicted in the film “Back to the Future Part II,” Alef Aeronautics has been developing the Model A since 2015. The company is currently accepting pre-orders for the flying car, targeting an official market launch in 2025 with an estimated price of approximately $300,000.

It is important to note that the Model A has not yet obtained certification for public road travel from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, but this significant milestone represents a major step forward in the realization of flying cars for the future.
