Netflix’s Bridgerton upcoming season will star actress Hannah New

Lady Tilley Arnold, a fiery widow, will be portrayed by New. According to the source, New’s character experiences early widowhood. She does, however, take use of the advantages and power that come with running her ex-fortune, husband’s leading a life of sexual and financial independence.

The 38-year-old actress is most known for her four seasons of Black Sails’ Eleanor Guthrie. Hannah also made her name portraying Princess Leila opposite Angelina Jolie in the 2014 film Maleficent. She has since been in Danny Boyle’s Trust and Guillermo del Toro’s The Strain, both of which were produced by FX. Additionally, she is a leading lady in Julian Gilbey’s Summit Fever alongside Ryan Phillippe and Freddie Thorp.

The upcoming season of Bridgerton will centre on Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington’s romance (aka Lady Whistledown). Penelope “determined it’s time to marry a husband, preferably one who will provide her with enough independence” so she can continue to live both her lives as Penelope and as the infamous author Lady Whistledown after she has given up on her crush on Colin.

Colin on the other hand returns from his summer travels “with a new look and a serious sense of swagger.” However, the young Bridgerton lad is disheartened to see that his friend, Penelope is now giving him the “cold shoulder.” In a bid to win her friendship again, Colin offers to help her in finding her a husband by giving her lesson on confidence. Although, he will soon find himself in a dilemma – whether he likes her as just a friend or more…

While Netflix has not announced a date, the series is currently in production, which means new episodes are likely to be released sometime in 2023.

Captain Marvel’s young Carol Danvers, McKenna Grace, will not return to The Marvels

The Marvels will no longer feature actress McKenna Grace, who played a young Carol Danvers in the 2019 film Captain Marvel.

In an interview with ComicBook.com, when the actress was asked in about her appearance in the upcoming movie, McKenna responded, “Oh, my gosh, I wish. That would be so cool. I’ve always wanted to do a Marvel film. I did do Captain Marvel, but I have not come back since. And if I do, I will be honoured. Hey, that’d be cool.”

McKenna, 16, has a variety of excellent roles in addition to her appearance in the MCU. According to IMDb, the actor has portrayed Mary Adler from Gifted, Faith Newman from The Young and the Restless, Phoebe Spengler from Ghostbusters: Afterlife, and Jasmine from Crash & Bernstein. She appeared in Scoob, Amityville: The Awakening, The Handmaid’s Tale, Spirit Untamed, and I, Tonya, among other films.

The Marvels, starring Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel, will be released in 2023. Though it is Carol Danvers’ next chapter, Captain Marvel 2 isn’t just a continuation of her 2019 origin story. The Direct reports that The Marvels will instead continue the stories of Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers, Teyonah Parris’ Monica Rambeau, and Iman Vellani’s Ms. Marvel.

According to the film’s D23 trailer, the trio’s light-based powers have become “entangled,” resulting in them switching places each time they attempt to use them.

The Marvels arrives in theatres on July 28, 2023.

Ekta Kapoor, a television producer, film producer, and filmmaker best known for her work in Hindi soap operas, seems to be in the midst of a never-ending string of problems. She is credited with launching a number of well-known television programmes, including Kasamh Se, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki, Kabhii Sautan Kabhii Sahelii, Kohi Apna Sa, Kaahin Kissii Roz, Kalash, Kasautii Zindagii Kay, and Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. She is the co-managing director and creative director of Balaji Telefilms Limited, for the uninitiated.

According to news source Press Trust of India, the top court in India criticised producer Ekta Kapoor on Friday for the “objectionable content” in her online series XXX, claiming “she was contaminating the minds of the young population of this country.”

According to PTI, Kapoor’s appeal against the arrest warrants issued against her for allegedly disrespecting soldiers and hurting their families in the web series that was broadcast on her OTT platform ALTBalaji was being heard by the Supreme Court of India.

“There is a need to act. You are contaminating the minds of this nation’s future leaders. Everybody may access it. All people can access OTT (Over The Top) content. What sort of options are you giving the populace? Instead, you are contaminating children’s minds “According to news agency PTI, the statement was made by a bench of Justices Ajay Rastogi and C T Ravikumar.

Mukul Rohatgi, a seasoned attorney, represented Kapoor in court. Prior to the court’s observation, Rohatgi stated, according to the news agency, “a plea has been filed before the Patna high court, but there is no prospect the matter would be assigned for hearing soon.”

PTI reported, that Rohatgi, in the Court said, “The content is subscription-based and that there is freedom of choice in this country.”

Wondering what kind of choice is being given to people, the Bench observed, “Every time you travel to this court….we don’t appreciate this. We will put a cost on you for filing such a petition. Mr Rohatgi, please convey this to your client. Just because you can afford and hire the services of good lawyers….this court is not for those who have voices.”

“This court works for those who don’t have voices…if these people who have all kinds of facilities if they cannot get justice then think of the situation of this common man. We have seen the order and we have our reservations,” the bench observed.

As of now, the Supreme Court has kept the matter pending and the next date of hearing will be known soon.

Stars of Harry Potter After Robbie Coltrane passed away at the age of 72, celebrities including Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Tom Felton, and others gave him poignant tributes.

Coltrane passed away on Friday, according to the actor’s agent, and was most known for playing the iconic character of Hagrid in the right-handed fantasy film series.

According to an article, the Lost City actor, who portrayed the lead in the films, paid tribute to Coltrane, stating, “Robbie was one of the funniest individuals I’ve met and used to keep us laughing continuously as kids on the set.”

“I’ve especially fond memories of him keeping our spirits up on Prisoner of Azkaban, when we were all hiding from the torrential rain for hours in Hagrid’s hut and he was telling stories and cracking jokes to keep morale up, I feel incredibly lucky that I got to meet and work with him and very sad that he’s passed,” Daniel added. “He was an incredible actor and lovely man.”

Emma also poured her heart out over the sad news, “Robbie was like the most fun uncle I’ve ever had, but most of all he was deeply caring and compassionate towards me as a child and an adult. His talent was so immense it made sense that he played a giant—he could fill ANY space with his brilliance.”

“Robbie, if I ever get to be so kind as you were to me on a film set, I promise to do it in your name and memory. Know how much l adore and admire you. I’ll really miss your sweetness, your nicknames, your warmth, your laughs and your hugs. You made us a family. Know you were that to us. There was no better Hagrid. You made it a joy to be Hermione.”

“One of my fondest memories of filming Harry Potter was a night shoot on the first film in the forbidden forest. I was 12. Robbie cared & looked after everyone around of him,” said Tom, who appeared as Draco Malfoy in the films.

He added, “Effortlessly. And made them laugh. Effortlessly. He was a big friendly giant on screen but even more so In real life. Love you mate – thank you for everything xx.”

James and Oliver Phelps, who played twins, Fred and George Weasley, in the blockbuster series, spoke warmly of the late star as James said, “I will miss the random chats about all subjects under the sun.And I’ll never forget in September 2000, Robbie Coltrane came over to a very nervous 14yr old me on my 1st ever day on a movie set and said ‘Enjoy it, you’ll be great.’ Thank you for that x”
