The Duchess of Sussex has been preparing to resume her much-talked-about podcast on October 4 after a four-week break after the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.

Lisa Ling, Margaret Cho, Constance Wu, Issa Rae, Ziwe Fumudoh, Amanda Seales, Allison Yarrow, and Robin Thede will appear with Meghan.

Kinsey Schofield, a royal specialist, told Fox News Digital during a chat, “royal watchers are curious to see if comedian Amanda Seales addresses a previous statement [that] she made about the duchess.”

The expert continued, “Amanda is quoted as saying, ‘Meghan should have done more research prior to joining the royal family.’”

Xiaomi electric sports car launched in China

Xiaomi has started to actively participate in the development of electric vehicles (EVs), as seen by the introduction of the SC-01 roadster.

The EV was developed by Xiaopaoche, a Chinese automaker with Xiaomi’s support.

With 435 horsepower (hp) dual-electric motors, the SC-01 is a lightweight, compact roadster that can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 4 seconds.

The SC-01’s battery size has not been disclosed by the manufacturer, however, it is believed to have a 500 km range.

For its diminutive size, SC-01 has gotten a tonne of accolades from aficionados. Its exact measurements are 2500 mm in wheelbase and 4085/1820/1162 mm in height.

Additionally, it is far lighter than the majority of electric sedans at 1,300 kg. All of these features will probably make SC-01 a Lotus Elise and Exige-style spiritual successor.

SC-01 will reportedly cost under 300,000 RMB, according to rumors (Rs. 9.5 million). The company has begun accepting reservations from customers for 199 RMB (Rs. 6,400).

ISLAMABAD: The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has allowed Asset Management Companies (AMCs) and Pension Fund Managers (PFMs) to conduct investor identity verification to facilitate seamless onboarding of investors, a statement said.

They may do so either on their own, or by obtaining identification documents from the onboarding platform through which a micro-saving customer is being on-boarded, it added.

This development will not only support AMCs and PFMs in smooth integration with potential branchless banking operators and Electronic Money Institutions (EMI), but will also assist in complying with applicable requirements of anti-money laundering/combating the financing of terrorism regulatory framework.

The new regulation is part of the SECP’s efforts to usher in a new era of smart investing and to ensure provision of seamless onboarding experience for mutual fund investors, on-boarded through branchless banking and EMI platforms to open Sehl Sarmayakari Accounts.

SECP introduced Sehl Sarmayakari Accounts to promote micro-savings culture where a customer can be seamlessly on-boarded through digital wallets and branchless banking operators without providing any additional information or document to the AMCs.

This reflects the SECP’s continued commitment to support digitalisation and providing a conductive investment climate for growth of non-bank financial sector and capital markets.

The SECP is of the view that as the industry transitions towards the digitalisation of financial services, digital onboarding will soon become the norm in the industry.

KARACHI: Habib Bank Limited (HBL) has been under probe again in the United States for allegedly providing financial support to the terrorist organisations.

As per the Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act (JASTA), HBL Bank has repeated misconduct and revealed a pattern of funding terrorism at various occasions in the last decade as of 2006.

Plaintiffs in these consolidated cases are 370 individuals who were injured or whose family members were injured or killed in terrorist attacks, who brought this action against HBL under the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA), as amended by the JASTA.

In its clarification, the bank said the allegations in the complaints are meritless, and HBL is contesting them fully and vigorously.

The public record is clear that HBL is unwavering in its commitment to combating the financing of terrorism, which has been well documented — its extensive global implementation of anti-money laundering compliance controls has been highly successful and lauded by regulators around the world, it added.

HBL’s motion was successful in two respects. The court dismissed the primary liability claim and narrowed the case substantially.

The court also stated secondary liabilities will be evaluated following the due legal proceedings and no judgement was passed by the court on this matter, the statement noted.

At its autumn event last night, Amazon unveiled a number of new products, including the Kindle Scribe, Echo Auto, Alexa Voice Remote Pro, and the Halo Rise bedside smart lamp.

The e-commerce behemoth also unveiled the fifth-generation Echo Dot, Echo Studio, and Fire TV Cube smart speakers.

Only the Fire TV Cube (3rd generation) and the Alexa Voice Remote Pro have been introduced by Amazon for the Indian market.

Amazon Fire TV Cube (3rd Gen) Specs

The successor to the model from the previous year, the Amazon Fire TV Cube (3rd generation), comes with a number of enhancements.

It is a streaming box with a square design that includes capabilities from both the Fire Stick TV and the Echo line of Alexa-enabled smart speakers.

With four physical buttons on the top and a distinctive Blue color flash when it is turned on, the third generation product has the same appearance as its predecessor.

The third generation of the Amazon Fire TV Cube supports Dolby Vision, HDR, and 4K Ultra HD content.

It has a technology called Super Resolution Upscaling, which upscales HD video to 4K using technical gimmicks, enhancing the display’s clarity, contrast, and detail.

The Amazon Fire TV Cube (3rd generation) is powered by a new 2.0GHz processor that is said to be 20% more powerful than the one it replaces.

It will provide quicker app launch times, resulting in a fluid and seamless streaming media player experience.

Along with a LAN port, the third-generation streaming device has WiFi-6 connectivity.

Additionally, it has an HDMI input connector that enables users to immediately connect to other devices like soundbars and compatible set-top boxes, among others.

Additionally, there is a second USB connector for connecting compatible webcams with ease.

Users can easily connect to Bluetooth hearing aids that are compatible with the Amazon Fire TV Cube (3rd generation) thanks to its support for Audio Streaming for Hearing Aids (ASHA).

The streaming device includes built-in speakers, a microphone, and a hands-free Alexa feature that enables voice commands to operate other devices.

Alexa Voice Remote Pro Specs

For its Fire TV devices, Amazon offers a separate remote called the Alexa Voice Remote Pro. The device has a similar appearance to other Fire TV Stick remote controls but has several functionalities.

By telling Alexa to find my remote, a Remote Finder exists that makes it simple for users to locate lost remote controls.

To create a one-touch shortcut to favorite applications, channels, and whatever Alexa can do, the gadget features two additional configurable buttons.

Additionally, the Alexa Voice Remote Pro has motion-activated backlit buttons that turn on when a user picks it up in a room that is dark.
