Prince Harry will be ‘haunted’ on his 38th birthday today, September 15, 2022, just days after his grandmother Queen Elizabeth died.

According to royal scholar Eric Schiffer, who spoke to The Daily Star, Prince Harry will be plagued on his birthday because of his decisions in the years leading up to the Queen’s death.

He stated, “Harry’s birthday will likely bring up the pain of his mother’s death. It will cause him to revisit things that he might have wished he did over with his grandmother including some of the positions that he and Meghan took that led to a cesspool of aggravation for Her Majesty.”

Schiffer also mentioned expert Katie Nicholl’s earlier accusations on GB News about Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle declining the Queen’s invitation to spend some time in Balmoral with her just weeks before her death.

He stated, “This will be an especially sad birthday for Harry who will be haunted by the fact that he was invited to spend time with the Queen just days before her death and rejected the idea.”

Prince Andrew may be given a significant royal role

The 2013 Succession to the Crown Act ended primogeniture for those born after 2011.

There are rumours that a procedural custom will give Prince Andrew a prominent role in the country while leaving Princess Anne out in the cold.

According to tradition, the British monarch selects five Counsellors of State to stand in for her/him when she/he is ill or away.

Counsellors of State include the monarch’s spouse as well as the top four royals in line to the throne, according to Robert Peston, ITV’s Political Editor, under rules in place since Queen Elizabeth II’s reign.

He wrote on Twitter, “The monarch appoints five Counsellors of State to stand in for him when he is unwell or out of the UK. They are his spouse plus the top four in succession to the crown who are aged 21 or over.”

He continued: “These include Prince Andrew and his daughter Princess Beatrice (only just appointed) but not Princess Anne, who is probably the most widely respected of the Royal Family.”

“Many would say this is nuts, especially since the 2013 Succession to the Crown Act ended primogeniture, though only for those born after 2011. ”

“So if King Charles were incapacitated, Andrew would step in, not Anne.”

Peston’s comment has generated concerns that Andrew will continue to play a role that some would like Anne to play, with one Twitter user writing, “people would not stand” for Andrew having a role.”

Another person answered, saying, “they did not think people would approve of Andrew occupying the role.”

A third wrote, “Princess Anne’s not being a Counsellor of State as bonkers”.

The fourth wrote, “Princess Anne is clearly a person of great honesty and trust. It would be correct for her as the Queen’s eldest daughter to lead.”

Counsellors of State are the monarch’s wife or husband if they are married, and the four persons who are next in line to the throne.

Counsellors of State are authorised by The Regency Act 1937 to carry out most of the monarch’s official duties, such as attending Privy Council meetings, signing routine documents, and accepting the credentials of new ambassadors to the United Kingdom.

Some have praised the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for showing their human side by holding hands during the parade, with one tweeting, “Meghan & harry have such a special & amazing bond that no one can ever take away from them,” one person tweeted, according to Page Six.”

Another wrote, “Meghan and Harry love each other,” adding that “there is no reason why they should ever have to hide it!”

While a big number of royal enthusiasts criticised the world’s most harmless gesture, judging it improper for an event honouring the Queen’s memory.

“They’re part of the procession,” read one such complaint.

“Is it too much to expect them to walk in their line? even the horse could stay in their position for 20+ minutes walk. yet meghan [and] harry couldn’t keep the formation at least until they reach the door?”

“No class,” another outraged British citizen tweeted, adding, “I see Meghan still couldn’t manage the whole service without holding on to Harry.”

Some people seemed to believe that Harry and Meghan broke some sort of regulation by holding hands during the service, which, of course, was not the case.

“While there are no formal ‘rules’ against PDA, we don’t often see it from the royals because usually when we see them they are on the job,”royal expert Shannon Felton Spence explained.

“They are presenting their most professional appearance. When we see William and Catherine out, they are husband and wife colleagues.”

Spence highlighted that Prince William and Kate Middleton had been photographed holding hands in public on numerous occasions, albeit in less formal situations.

“It does happen, but usually always setting appropriate or a less formal event (like if they are playing a sport),” she stated.

“That’s why it’s so striking that Harry and Meghan have always been so overtly affectionate with each other,” Spence added.

In a show of rudeness, a woman refused to shake Meghan’s hand last week.
