Harry and Meghan’s major royal ‘supporter’ is causing ‘in-fighting’

Harry and Meghan
  • Princess Eugenie is a big supporter of Harry and Meghan, royal commentator Neil Sean said on YouTube.
  • He claimed that she has frosty relations with Prince Charles and Prince William.
  • This will lead to infighting within the royal family, he said.

Harry and Meghan have one major supporter, which will lead to infighting, royal commentator Neil Sean said on YouTube.

“Princess Eugenie along with her sister Beatrice are a little bit frosty towards His Royal Highness Prince Charles, and Prince William,” the commentator claimed. “But now Eugenie apparently, is a big supporter of Harry and Meghan, and truly believes that they’ve been hard done by.”

“We know she visited them a while back, and obviously you can understand, they’re friends of the same age bracket, she wants to support [them], particularly Prince Harry,” he continued.

“Princess Eugenie has kind of got a line divided within the British monarchy, because while many of them are wanting to be sympathetic towards Harry and Meghan, it’s very difficult, given the onslaught of negativity that they’ve pushed over in their direction.

“So for now it looks like Princess Eugenie is waving the flag all alone, but more importantly, will she now be ostracised for fear of anything being said around her or spoken in intimate royal circles going back,” he said.

Siemens posts loss as energy spin-off struggles

Siemens posts loss

German industrial conglomerate Siemens said Thursday it had made a significant net loss as it counted the cost of struggles at its former energy unit.

Between April and June, Siemens recorded a net loss of 1.5 billion euros ($1.5 billion), after a mirror 1.5-billion-euro profit in the same period last year.

The loss was due to a 2.7 billion euro devaluation of the group’s “stake in Siemens Energy and Russia-related impacts totalling 0.6 billion euros”, Siemens said in a statement.

Shares in Siemens Energy, which was spun off from its parent in 2020, have fallen around 25 percent since the start of the year.

Siemens Energy has had to contend with the struggles of its own wind-energy subsidiary, Siemens Gamesa, which has struggled to turn a profit despite surging demand for renewable energy.

Quarterly revenues at Siemens, which makes products ranging from trains to factory equipment, rose 11 percent year-on-year to 17.9 billion euros, with progress seen across the board.

Its “digital industries” division, which includes factory automation, led the way with sales up 18 percent to 4.9 billion euros.

The improvement came despite the turbulence caused by the Russian invasion of Ukraine, soaring inflation and persistent bottlenecks in supply chains that can be traced back to the coronavirus pandemic.

The Munich-based group had been able “to avoid larger disruptions due to supply chain risks”, it said.

Siemens, which runs its business year from October to September, said it continued to expect a profitable 12-month period, while reducing its guidance in line with the hit to its stake in Siemens Energy.

As such, the group expected earnings per share to be around 5.33 to 5.73 euros, down from an earlier estimate around nine euros.

Otherwise, Siemens still expected revenue growth in the current business year of six to eight percent.

Report: Prince Harry is attempting to pull a Beyoncé with his memoir

Prince Harry
  • Meghan Markle and Harry’s memoir could be released on an impromptu date.
  • Experts warn that the couple may pull a Beyonce and drop the book at random.
  • The publication of the book is said to have been completed and out of Harry’s hands.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are warned by experts that may pull a “fast one” on the Royal Family by releasing the new memoir on an impromptu date.

During their chat for the latest episode, Royally Us hosts Christina Garibaldi and Christine Ross issued this warning.

Mr Ross brought up the topic of conversation and said, “I’m surprised we haven’t seen any more details on this.”

Ms Garibaldi agreed almost immediately and poked fun at the couple with the remark, “It is very surprising. Who knows, maybe they’ll pull a Beyoncé and just drop the book and that’ll be it.”

This claim follows the announcement that the Prince completed the necessary edits and writing for his memoir in the summer.

She explained at the time, “A publishing source told The Sun the manuscript has been finished and gone through all the legal processes’, adding that ‘it’s done and out of Harry’s hands.”

Previously, Prince Harry has come under fire for calling in the negative press about the British government’s security.

Ken Wharfe, a former royal police protection officer, made this shocking claim.

He addressed the Duke of Sussex’s ‘unwise’ decision and alleged naivety of his claims, for he’d “never be refused protection.”

S.Africa strikes deal to free fruit stranded at EU ports

S.Africa strikes deal to free fruit

South Africa said Thursday it had struck a deal to clear tonnes of oranges stuck at European ports amid a trade dispute with the European Union that growers say has cost them millions of dollars.

The temporary agreement will bring some relief to South Africa’s almost $2-billion citrus industry, but a trade group warned it would not resolve the underlying threat to their business.

“The current impasse has cost local citrus growers over 200-million-rand ($12 million) in losses,” said Deon Joubert of South Africa’s Citrus Growers’ Association (CGA).

South Africa, the world’s second-largest exporter of fresh citrus after Spain, filed a complaint with the World Trade Organisation (WTO) last month after the EU introduced new safety requirements on citrus imports.

The rules, which aim at tackling the spread of a pest called the false codling moth, require South African farmers to apply extreme cold treatment to all Europe-bound oranges.

But when the regulations came into force in July, ships carrying more than 1,000 containers of fruit were already at sea, forcing them to be held up on arrival, said the CGA.

The cargo either had not had the cold treatment, or did not have the right documentation if it had been treated.

On Thursday, Pretoria said it had issued new documents for shipments that already met the new EU criteria, allowing for more than 300 containers to clear border controls, with more expected to follow.

South Africa’s agriculture ministry said that under the interim pact with the EU, shipments that do not comply with the new measures can undergo cold treatment upon arrival, something the CGA said was not particularly helpful.

“Growers will more than likely also receive half their expected returns on any fruit that is released, due to the fact that most containers have been standing for a few weeks,” said Joubert.

South African farmers say the new EU rules are unnecessary as their country already has its own, more targeted, way of preventing infestation.

‘Mac is back’: McDonald’s plans ‘phased’ reopening in Ukraine

McDonald's

McDonald’s announced plans Thursday for a “phased” partial reopening of restaurants in Ukraine, where operations have been shuttered since February due to the Russian invasion.

The US burger chain will “reopen some restaurants in Kyiv and western Ukraine, where other businesses have safely reopened,” Paul Pomroy, senior vice president for international operated markets, said in a message to employees.

Pomroy cited requests from the company’s Ukrainian employees for the relaunch to signify “a small but important sense of normalcy” in the besieged country.

McDonald’s suspended its operations in Ukraine on February 24 following the Russian siege of the country.

The company has continued to pay salaries of more than 10,000 employees since then, Pomroy said.

“Over the next few months, we will begin working with suppliers to get product to restaurants, making the physical properties ready to serve customers, bringing restaurant teams and employees back on site, and implementing enhanced procedures and protocols to support the safety of our people and customers,” Pomroy said.

The announcement was applauded by Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba, who acknowledged that the actual reopening “will take a while,” in a message on Facebook.

“But the main thing is that there is a political decision: Mac is back,” Kuleba said. “The return of a great American company is, first of all, a signal for the international business of the opportunity to work in Ukraine, even in spite of war.”

In May, McDonald’s said it would sell its Russia business to Russian businessman Alexander Govor after announcing a complete exit from the country.

McDonald’s business in Russia “is no longer tenable, nor is it consistent with McDonald’s values,” the chain said at the time.

The action marked a reversal of the fast-food giant’s historic arrival in Moscow in January 1990 in what was seen as symbolic of the end of the Cold War era.

Disney hikes streaming fees after huge losses

Disney hikes streaming fees
  • Disney+ with advertisements will cost $7.99 per month starting December 8.
  • Disney’s streaming services collectively lost $1.1 billion in the third quarter of their fiscal year.
  • The average revenue per user in the U.S. and Canada fell by 5% during the quarter.

In an effort to turn its streaming service profitable, Disney revealed a new pricing scheme that includes an advertising-supported Disney+.

Disney+ with advertisements will cost $7.99 per month beginning on December 8 in the US, which is the same as Disney+ without advertisements. Disney+ will cost $3 more per month, or $10.99, after a 38% price increase.

Starting on October 10th, the cost of Hulu without advertisements will increase by $2 per month from $12.99 to $14.99. The monthly price of Hulu with advertisements will increase by $1 to $7.99.

Disney stated last month that the monthly cost of ESPN+ with advertisements would increase 43% to $9.99.

The price hikes are a reflection of Disney’s streaming services’ expanding operating losses. Due to the greater cost of content on the services, Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ collectively lost $1.1 billion in the third quarter of their fiscal year, which was $300 million more than the average analyst projection.

Even while Disney attracted nearly 15 million new Disney+ customers in the quarter—roughly 5 million more than analysts had predicted—the operational loss worsened.

In the past, Disney has said that it expects to lose money on Disney+ until 2024. Disney+ losses will reach their height in the company’s fiscal year 2022, according to Chief Financial Officer Christine McCarthy, who confirmed this during the results conference call on Wednesday.

Due to more users choosing cheaper multiproduct options, Disney+’s average revenue per user in the U.S. and Canada fell by 5% during the quarter.

The company’s quarterly earnings, which were also released on Wednesday, outperformed forecasts on both the top and bottom lines. In the most recent period, Disney+ subscriptions increased to 152.1 million, exceeding Wall Street’s forecast of 147 million.

In total, Disney has 221 million streaming customers when ESPN+, Disney+, and Hulu are included.

Pricing bundles

Disney also unveiled new pricing bundles that include its Disney+ service and ads.

A combo of Disney+ without commercials and Hulu and ESPN+ with advertisements will go up from $13.99 to $14.99 for current users alone.

A package of Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ with commercials will cost $12.99, which is $1 less than the cost of the existing Disney bundle.

A Disney+ and Hulu bundle with advertising will be available for purchase from consumers for $9.99 per month. That represents a saving over purchasing Disney+ and Hulu with ads separately.

Disney+ and Hulu without advertisements, along with ESPN+, continue to cost $19.99 per month.

Disney’s Hulu with live TV bundles will also have new prices. Customers who want Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ with advertisements will pay $69.99 per month for Hulu with live TV.

Disney will sell that bundle, which includes Disney+ without advertising, to current users for $74.99. The monthly cost of the premium Hulu with live TV, Disney+, and Hulu ad-free package is $82.99.

Covid vaccines to develop like ‘an iPhone’: Moderna CEO

Covid vaccines to develop like ‘an iPhone’
  • Moderna plans to provide coronavirus, influenza, and other common respiratory viruses single-dose annual booster.
  • CEO Stéphane Bancel predicts new combination product will be ready in “three to five years”.
  • The company is also working on a potential monkeypox vaccine, which is still in the lab.

Put an end to getting two or three Covid shots per year. Within the next five years, Moderna plans to provide a coronavirus, influenza, and other common respiratory viruses single-dose annual booster.

According to CEO Stéphane Bancel in an interview with a worldwide news website on Wednesday, Moderna will need to maintain improving the vaccinations that made Covid-19 a household name while working to make them more convenient for consumers.

He predicted that the new combination product will be ready in “three to five years” and compared the development of the life-saving jab to that of a smartphone.

When you first get an iPhone, “you don’t get the wonderful camera, amazing everything, but you get a lot of things,” he remarked.

“Every September, many of us purchase a new iPhone, and you can download updated and new apps. And that’s exactly the same concept—you’ll receive a single dosage of Covid along with protection against the flu and RSV.”

Moderna (MRNA), which had rapid development during the pandemic, is now under pressure to pinpoint its next major market.

Bancel is optimistic that the Covid-19 pandemic, which has enabled the company earn tens of billions of dollars in revenue and do business in more than 70 markets worldwide, will stop this year.

That doesn’t always mean the infection is disappearing, he said.

He added that he thought more people would choose to “live with the virus,” much like they do with the flu, saying, “I think we are slowly moving — if not already in some countries — to a world where all the tools are available, and everybody can make their own decision based on their risk tolerance.”

He agreed that the strategy will continue to differ drastically depending on the situation, such as with immunocompromised individuals or in places like Japan where mask use was widespread even before the pandemic.

And he continued, “There’s always a 20% chance that we acquire a really bad variant that drives really severe disease that has a lot of mutation.”

Urea sales expected to drop by 37%

Urea sales expected to drop
  • Urea sales are anticipated to total 390,000 tons in July 2022, down 37% from the same month last year.
  • The cumulative offtake for 7MCY22 is predicted to be 3,600,000 tonnes, a 3 percent YoY increase.
  • The price of urea has just increased by Rs. 350 per bag, bringing it to Rs. 2,200 per bag.

Urea sales are anticipated to total 390,000 tons in July 2022, down 37% from the same month last year (YoY).

In research by JS Global, it is predicted that Fauji Fertilizer (FFC) will sell 147,000 tons of urea, Engro Fertilizer Limited (EFERT) will offtake 88,000 tons, and Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim (FFBL) will offtake 23,000 tons in July 2022.

In comparison to 3,500,000 tonnes in the SPLY, the cumulative offtake for 7MCY22 is predicted to be 3,600,000 tonnes, a 3 percent YoY increase. Sales are anticipated to diminish principally as a result of decreased output brought on by the breakdown of the plants for FFC (Goth Machhi) and EFERT (Enven) in July. Urea’s closing inventory for July 2022 is around 290,000 tonnes if the monthly production of urea is assumed to be 425,000 tonnes.

The offtake of diammonium phosphate (DAP) is anticipated to be 68,000 tons in July compared to 193,000 tons in SPLY, a 65 percent YoY decline. This is probably caused by lower global demand for the commodity and higher local prices as a result of limited global supply.

The price of urea has just increased by Rs. 350 per bag, bringing it to Rs. 2,200 per bag. Dealer margins were left unaltered, but now dealers are asking for an increase in profits. There can be issues if dealers go on strike.

Prince Harry ‘begging’ for negative press amid ‘missteps’

Prince Harry
  • Ken Wharfe, a former royal police protection officer, made shocking claims about Prince Harry.
  • He said the Duke of Sussex’s decision to sue the UK government was ‘unwise’ and ‘naive’.
  • Insisted that he’d ‘never be refused protection.

Prince Harry has come under fire for calling in the negative press about the British government’s security.

Ken Wharfe, a former royal police protection officer, made this shocking claim.

He addressed the Duke of Sussex’s ‘unwise’ decision and alleged naivety of his claims, for he’d “never be refused protection.”

During his interview with the Pod Save the Queen podcast, the expert addressed everything.

He started by admitting, “I don’t know whom he advised him to take legal action against the British Government and the Metropolitan Police. I think it was an unwise thing to do because that, in essence, raises negative publicity.”

When asked about Prince Harry’s personal security team being denied access to Intelligence Intel, Mr Wharfe said, “But I think the Government and the Metropolitan Police would have seen it would have been wrong to see this man, a global icon and celebrity in his own right, step onshore in the United Kingdom without any protection whatsoever.”

“So that was never the case that the Government and the police wouldn’t have provided a liaison to guarantee his safety and that of his wife and children.”

He also offered some personal insight and admitted, “My own view is that Harry rather overplayed that and that was a mistake on his part.”

“I personally think it won’t rumble on and it will stabilise – and I think he will realise if he does come back that of course there will be protection there.”

“The country does have a responsibility to make sure that he is safe. But I don’t see the government or the police for that matter caving in on it.”

At the end of the day, “I think Harry will have to work a little bit harder and understand that the government and the police are here to help him and they will do so.”

Prince Andrew million pound fee to his accuser worried the queen?

Prince Andrew
  • The Duke of York reportedly agreed to pay Virginia Guiffre up to £12 million.
  • Agreement is thought to include a “substantial donation to Giuffre’s charity in support of victims’ rights.”
  • The Queen’s personal wealth was valued at £370 million by the Sunday Times Rich List.

Prince Andrew multi-million-pound payment to his accuser Virginia Guiffre, Queen Elizabeth’s financial secrecy was reportedly under scrutiny.

After settling the case out of court, the Duke of York reportedly agreed to pay Ms Guiffre up to £12 million. The agreement is thought to include a “substantial donation to Giuffre’s charity in support of victims’ rights.”

Andrew may have merely compensated his accuser, “$5.2million to $8.74million of the $21million originally reported to settle the case”, royal expert Daniela Elser quoted.

Elser stated, “These developments highlight an exceptionally thorny issue that is only going to get more and more urgent and fundamental for the Queen and in the years to come, Prince Charles when he takes the throne.”

“It comes down to this: The Queen and the royal family to this day, receive special treatment from the UK government when it comes to things like taxes and their wills, all the while they are allowed to conceal the true extent of their personal riches.”

“For more than a century Britons have swallowed the near total blackout when it comes to the Windsors and their stuffed wallets, but for how much longer?”

The Queen’s personal wealth was valued at £370 million by the Sunday Times Rich List, but her true wealth, as well as the Royal Family’s wealth, is unknown. The Royal Family’s income is said to be derived from the Sovereign Grant, which includes duchies and private wealth.

Queen Elizabeth appointing Prince Charles to be her regent?

Queen Elizabeth
  • The initial uproar was caused by Nigel Farage, who promoted the prospect.
  • A Regent is if the Queen was incapacitated, that is the period that you have a Regency.
  • Richard Fitzwiliams stepped in to provide insight from within the Firm’s inner circle.

Queen Elizabeth intends to hand over her monarchy to Prince Charles with the title of regent, in the midst of her health problems, royal experts have finally shed light on whether.

For those who are unaware, the initial uproar was caused by Nigel Farage, who promoted the prospect.

He made the claim by referring to the start of the Parliamentary session and branding it “a really sad moment.”

He believes, “It looks as though Prince Charles is becoming Prince Regent which means he will deputise for the Queen on big state occasions, on big international visits with US Presidents or whatever it may be.”

However, royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams quickly stepped in to provide some context.

Richard Fitzwiliams, a royal commentator, stepped in to provide insight from within the Firm’s inner circle.

He claimed, “That is gossip. A Regent is if the Queen was incapacitated, that is the period that you have a Regency. You saw that with George III, as George VI was made Regent.”

Before concluding he also said, “The Queen is mentally totally alert and carrying out duties, albeit changed duties. I don’t see this as a possibility. We will have to see, of course, what is going to happen in the future.”
