Cantonment Board Elections: Incumbent PTI party bags most seats

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) ruling party has bagged the most votes and emerged as the biggest winner in cantonment board elections held across Pakistan on Sunday.

According to the preliminary, unofficial results of the cantonment board elections, PTI has obtained 63 seats, closely followed by PML-N which won 59.

Independent candidates bagged 52 seats. However, among the Opposition parties, PPP won 17, the Jamaat-e-Islami seven and Awami National Party two.

Whereas, MQM won 10 and the Balochistan Awami Party secured two.

The event rolled out under a well-set stage for the couple. The joyful groom looked dapper in a black suit paired with a maroon tie.

Earlier, the Baandi starlet had mentioned that fans still confuse her and Minal with each other.

“I haven’t been on the screen for a while, however still whenever I go to a mall, people recognize me and at times confuse me with my sister Minal.”

“I have experienced middle-aged women coming to me and schooling me for projects I haven’t even done.” she added that after Jalan‘s broadcast an elderly lady confronted her for doing that role.

She had narrated a hilarious incident, when a middle-aged woman came to her at a mall and confronted her for playing Nisha in Jalan, which was actually performed by her sister, Minal. She stated, “A lady came to me and asked me how can you do such a character?” Aiman was taken aback by the overwhelming situation, and replied saying “It’s not me, it’s my sister, Minal”.

Earlier, Sarah Khan had opened about her marriage and detailed the good sides of her husband.

Sarah relayed that it was a match made in traditional Pakistani households like any other. “We hadn’t met much before; and on the backstage of Bridal Couture Week in Lahore, where I was with my sisters, he proposed me. I told him straight away that I am not interested, we ignored it,” recalled the actress.

“Then he spoke to my father,” she added, “After that whatever happened was my father’s decision, because who can choose for us better than our parents can?” she remarked.

The blushing Sarah just couldn’t stop loving her husband as she said, “I am very happy with Falak and he’s very nice.”

“We shared our wedding with those who love us, and we want to share all our good moments with them,” she said.

“We share what we want to and tend to always highlight the negative side of men, but I want people to see that there are men like Falak too who love their wives this much,” Khan added.
