Nawaz Sharif’s Sheikhupura property Auctioned For Rs1 Crore 1Lac per acre

Nawaz Sharif

The seized Sheikhupura properties of former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif has been auctioned for Rs1 Crore 1Lac per acre.

According to the details, Mohammad Boota bought the 11-Acre property of Nawaz Sharif at the price of Rs1 Crore 1Lac per acre.

Mohammad Boota deposited a Rs1 million cheque to the auction committee as a call deposit. The auction began at Rs7 million per acre at the Municipal Hall of Sheikhupura under the supervision of the additional DC.

The 88-Kanal land of the ex-premier is being sold as a recovery in the Toshakhana reference.

Yesterday, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) has rejected the petition on Wednesday to stop the auction of Nawaz Sharif’s properties.

Three citizens; Mian Iqbal Barkat, Muhammad Ashraf, and Aslam Aziz, had filed petitions in the IHC against the auction of properties in the Toshakhana case against the former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

The court declared the petitions inadmissible and ruled that the petitioner had an alternative forum.

The court said that the trial court can be approached to stop the auction, so the High Court cannot hear these petitions under Article 199 of the Constitution if there is an alternative forum.

Petitions Filed In IHC To Stop Auction Of Nawaz Sharif’s Properties

Citizen Ashraf Malik took the position that he had bought the property of Sheikhurpura for Rs. 7.5 crore so the auction should be stopped.

He said that he had paid the Sheikhupura land to Nawaz Sharif but the final agreement could not be reached due to the arrest of the former prime minister.

Ashraf Malik claimed that he had approached the civil court to implement the agreement, so the auction decision should be annulled.

On the other hand, citizen Iqbal Barkat also requested to stop the auction and said that the property is scheduled for an auction is a non-corporate asset of Ittefaq Group which was distributed among 7 families of Ittefaq Group.

He said that a four-member committee was constituted for the distribution of the said assets and on April 6, 2014, a joint agreement was reached between all seven families.

The petitioner took the position that the house in question was being allotted to Mian Barkat Ali in the distribution of assets and he had moved to the said house in 2017-18.

Mian Iqbal Barkat claimed that the matter of distribution of the property was also known to the NAB investigating officers and no notice was issued to the petitioner.

He asked the court to declare the auction order illegal and in violation of the established rules of law and annul it immediately as the decision was taken without hearing the position of the petitioner.

Facebook Closes Pro-Israel Page With 75mn Followers Amidst Worst Israel-Palestine Tensions

Facebook shots Pro-Israel page

Facebook has shut the Pro-Israel page ‘Jerusalem Prayer Team’ with around 77 million followers after several social media users reported the page over hate speech after the clashes between Israel and Palestine escalated.

The founder of the Facebook page, Mike Evans claims the shutdown was due in part to an “organized attempt by radical Islamic organizations.”

Evans added that critics flooded the site with “more than a million” comments — and then said they had never posted to the site.

“There was an organized attempt by radical Islamic organizations to achieve this objective,” he said.

“It was a very clever, deceptive plan by Islamic radicals,” Mike Evans added.

He also claimed the flood of complaints about supposed fake posts was “a complete scam and fraud.”

The page owner further told media outlets that he got the unexpected message that Facebook had removed the page when he landed in Israel ready to host a star-studded TV special.

Facebook sent him a message saying the case was “complete” and there was “no further action” to be taken. “Please consider this decision final,” Facebook told him.

“Facebook got caught with its pants down,” he insisted. He has, however, been in touch with “dozens” of politicians, including Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), Jared Kushner and his “dear friend” former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, to help him “with this fraudulent scheme to damage our good work,” Evans told.

“This is a prime example of bias on steroids. It’s, in my opinion, cyber terrorism based upon racism.”

A Facebook company spokesperson said: “We removed Jerusalem Prayer Team’s Facebook Page for violating our rules against spam and inauthentic behaviour.”

Fawad Chaudhry Lauds Israel’s MP For Feeling Israeli apartheid Against Palestine

Fawad Chaudhry

Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry has applauded Mossi Raz, the Israeli parliament member who himself has condemned the ongoing atrocities by the Israeli forces against Palestine.

In his tweet on Thursday, Chaudhry said, “Israeli parliament member Mossi Raz condemns eviction of Palestinians from Sheikh Jarrah finally an Israeli member feels the apartheid of Palestinians must end, Palestine issue is not a religious issue its a Humanitarian issue that every human must support.”

A senior member of Israeli Parliament Knesset Mossi Raz has condemned Israel’s decision of evicting Palestinian families from their homes in Sheikh Jarrah. He called Israel’s actions “unjust”.

Mossi Raz is an Israeli politician, who is currently a member of the Knesset for the left-wing, social-democratic, Meretz party.

Meretz is a secular party emphasizing a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, social justice, and human rights. It currently has six seats in the Knesset.

While talking to a private news channel from Jerusalem, Mossi Raz said,

“We have to reverse this decision and let Palestinians stay in the place they have lived for the past seventy years.”

He went on to add, “A two-state solution to the Israel-Palestine conflict is not easy to achieve but is still possible. The only solution to war is peace.”

Moreover, the senior Israeli Parliament member said, “First and foremost, we have to stop the fight. Both sides have to stop the fight right now.”

He underscored that there is a need of developing the Gaza Strip by using international investment.

“Unfortunately, people always support hardliners and their leadership in times of war. We have to uphold freedom, equality, human rights for people here and in Palestine,” Raz said.

Raz also commented on the United States’ opposition to an immediate ceasefire.

“The reason why the US president repeatedly opposed the security council’s resolution pressing for a ceasefire is that the proposed resolution, I would say, was not fair. It talked about Israel’s violence but did not mention Palestine’s violence.”

Mossin further said that he was neither comparing nor saying the attacks on both sides are fair but he is “only trying to say that sending missiles on civilians is a war crime be it in Israel or Palestine.”
