RAWALPINDI: Security Forces conducted intelligence-based operations in Razmak area of North Waziristan District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Nushki District of Balochistan after receiving reports of the presence of terrorists linked to Indian-sponsored groups Fitna Al Khwarij and Fitna al Hindustan.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), troops effectively engaged the militants, killing five terrorists.

A large quantity of weapons and ammunition was also recovered from the slain militants, who were reportedly involved in multiple terrorist activities targeting security forces, law enforcement agencies, and civilians.

However, during the intense exchange of fire, Major Hafiz Ihsan Elahi, 34, a resident of Mianwali District, embraced martyrdom while leading his troops from the front. The officer fought bravely and made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

A sanitisation operation is underway in the area to eliminate any remaining terrorists. The ISPR said the counterterrorism campaign under the vision of “Azm-e-Istehkam”, approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, will continue with full determination to eradicate foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.

The sacrifices of Pakistan’s security personnel further strengthen the resolve of the armed forces and law enforcement agencies to protect the nation at all costs, the statement added.

In Separate operation, Security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Nushki District of Balochistan on the night of July 30-31, 2026, targeting terrorists belonging to the Indian-sponsored group Fitna al Hindustan, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
