The government on Friday has reduced the price of both petrol and diesel by Rs1.97 per litre, with immediate effect for the week ending July 10.
According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Energy’s Petroleum Division, the ex-depot price of gasoline (motor spirit) has been reduced from Rs299.50 per liter to Rs297.53 per liter.
The price of high-speed diesel (HSD) has also been lowered from Rs311.47 per liter to Rs309.50 per liter.
In Pakistan, petroleum product prices are reviewed weekly. These changes are based on shifts in international oil prices and fluctuations in the exchange rate.
