Filmmaker Vinod Kapri is renowned for telling some touching and fascinating tales that can motivate or just make one smile. This post of his is not any different. Kapri posted a cute video from Pakistan on Twitter. He also included a heartfelt tale from his trip journals.
The image was posted by Farid Khan and features a visitor who is blocking an orange vendor. Other individuals immediately object as the man tries to pay the shopkeeper for the fruit. One man even goes so far as to refer to the visitor as a mehmaan (guest) of the nation and declines to accept any payment.
Kapri talked about one similar event he had while in Karachi. “I experienced a similar scenario in Karachi as well. Shahbaz owned the shop. He first ordered lassi after learning that I was from India, then after going shopping, he refused to take the money. I am merely from the same country, according to Shahbaz. He finally agreed to take half of the money after some persistent pleas from my end,” Kapri recalled.

It happened with us too in Milan. A Pakistani seated next to our table offered to pay our bill. He said we are his guests as we came from Germany and he was living in Milan. His sister had come to meet him from UK and was praising Rishi Sunak a lot ❤️
