Baghdadi PS Attack Case: Court acquits Uzair Baloch over lack of evidence

Lyari gang war accused Uzair Baloch has on Monday (today) acquitted by the Court of Additional District and Sessions Judge South in Baghdadi police station attack case over lack of evidence.

According to the details, at the outset of the hearing, the police apprised the court that the police station was attacked on the behest of Uzair Baloch in 2012.

Upon being asked by the court, that how come the police came to conclusion that accused was the mastermind of the attack, the police said residents of the area confirmed.

Was any of the residents made a witness in the case by the police? the judge asked and the police replied, “No one was made a witness in the case.”

Later, the court acquitted Uzair Baloch in the case.

Uzair Baaloch, however, booked in Baghdadi PS attack case in 2012.

He is facing more than 52 cases and so far acquitted in 10 cases by the court. He has been accused of committing 198 murders during the Lyari gang war.

He had been accused of committing 198 murders during the Lyari gang war. Later, he had been arrested by the Rangers on January 30, 2016.

Back in April 2017, his custody was handed over to the Pakistan Army after he was accused of espionage. The Army handed him over to the police on April 6, 2020, after three years.

Uzair Baloch indicted in SHO Civil Lines Fawad Khan murder case

An anti-terrorism court on Saturday framed charges against Lyari gang war accused Uzair Baloch and others in murder case of SHO Civil Lines Police Fawad Khan.

Uzair Baloch was appeared before the court hearing in security of Rangers force.

Zubair Baloch, Abdul Ghaffar Mama and other accused were also indicted in the case along with Baloch.

Zakir alias Dada and Ramzan alias Ramzani have also been among the accused of the case.

The ATC judge read out the charge-sheet to Uzair in the courtroom but he denied the charges and opted to contest them.

Therefore, the court issued notices to the investigation officer and witnesses of the case to appear in court to record their statements.

According to the FIR, “The accused had attacked a police party in the jurisdiction of Kalakot police station during the Lyari Operation in April 2012.”

SHO Civil Lines police station Fawad Khan was died in the attack, while three other policemen were injured in the ambush, police report said.

Earlier, in August Uzair and other accused were indicted in murder case of another gangster Arshad Pappu.
