Taylor Swift secures No.1 spot on Billboard 200 Albums Chart

Famed American singer Taylor Swift bags another huge achievement as she secured her spot in the female hall of fame after her hit music projects Evermore and Willow.

Taylor Swift’s “Willow” blooms with a No. 1 debut on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart. The track is her seventh Hot 100 leader and second of 2020.

As per Billboard’s recent music chart’s rankings, “As Evermore debuts atop the #Billboard200 and “Willow” atop the #Hot100, @taylorswift13 is the first artist in @billboardcharts history to debut at No. 1 on both charts simultaneously twice.”

Soon after the announcement by Billboard, the singer too hopped onto her personal Twitter account and showered her fans with love, adoration and praise while admitting, “Guys. Seriously. Thank you for doing this.”

Moreover, Swift’s latest studio album earned 329,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in the week ending December 17, marking the fifth-largest week of the year for any album.

Evermore is the companion set to her earlier surprise No. 1 album, Folklore, which bowed atop the Aug. 8-dated Billboard 200.

Famed singer Taylor Swift has added another achievement to her cap as she is being announced Songwriter Of The Year at the second Apple Music Awards.

Taylor Swift has launched a surprise 2020 album Folklore that debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart, making her the first female artist to have seven consecutive number-one albums in the US.

Folklore also holds the title of the first 2020 album to sell more than one million copies.

“Winning Songwriter of the Year in any capacity in any year would be so exciting, but I think it’s really special because this particular year was a year where I really feel like songwriting was the one thing that was able to keep me connected to fans that I wasn’t able to see in concert,” said Swift in an acceptance speech.

Swift went on to thank her fans for keeping her going through this tough year. “My songwriting, and the way that fans respond to the songs I write, and that kind of emotional exchange is what I feel like has really kept me going this year. And I really want to say thank you to the fans for that,” she said.

Song Folklore was written and recorded during the quarantine period.

The album had also bagged People’s Choice Awards, nominating the singer in three award categories: Female Artist of 2020, Album of 2020 for Folklore, and Soundtrack Song of 2020 for Only the Young on Miss Americana.

Singing sensation Taylor Swift is the first US singer to sell a million copies in 2020, leading the Billboard 200 chart for eight weeks straight.

Taylor Swift’s album Folklore which came as a surprise to her fans on July 24, remains atop at the Billboard 200 chart.

She wrote and recorded the album during the quarantine period. However, the album has gained the title of being the first album to sell a million copies in the US this year.

Earlier in September, the singer successfully broke the record of Whitney Houston and became the woman with most cumulative weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.

The album has also bagged People’s Choice Awards, nominating the singer in three award categories: Female Artist of 2020, Album of 2020 for Folklore, and Soundtrack Song of 2020 for Only the Young on Miss Americana.

Taylor Swift details publicly why she’s voting Joe Biden for President

Ahead of US Presidential elections 2020, Democratic presidential nominee, Joe Biden is already having support from singer Taylor Swift.

However, Taylor Swift has endorsed Biden and said that she will vote for the Democratic ticket of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.

In a recent interview, the famed vocalist said: “The change we need most is to elect a president who recognizes that people of color deserve to feel safe and represented, that women deserve the right to choose what happens to their bodies, and that the LGBTQIA+ community deserves to be acknowledged and included.”

“Everyone deserves a government that takes global health risks seriously and puts the lives of its people first. The only way we can begin to make things better is to choose leaders who are willing to face these issues and find ways to work through them,” Swift added further.

“I will proudly vote for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in this year’s presidential election. Under their leadership, I believe America has a chance to start the healing process it so desperately needs,” she added.

Turning to Twitter, the singer announced her cover and also publicly endorsed Biden and Harris on her platform.

“I spoke to @vmagazine about why I’ll be voting for Joe Biden for president. So apt that it’s come out on the night of the VP debate. Gonna be watching and supporting @KamalaHarris by yelling at the tv a lot. And I also have custom cookies.”

Swift had earlier drawn flak for not endorsing anyone in the 2016 presidential election.
