Kourtney Kardashian faces backlash for promoting Kanye West’s election merchandise

Kourtney Kardashian

Kourtney Kardashian faced heavy backlash from her fans for endorsing merchandise for brother-in-law Kanye West’s election campaign.

Kourtney, the reality TV star, recently put an Instagram story where she was seen wearing a baseball cap with “VOTE KANYE” written on it.

She also shared a link to West’s merchandise website where her followers could get the same cap.

Kourtney Kanye West

Fans thought Kourtney’s endorsement of Kanye’s election campaign to be downright embarrassing and slammed the star on Twitter.

“Kourtney Kardashian posting an insta story to her 102 million followers encouraging them to vote for Kanye is one of the most irresponsible, egregious and reckless uses of that family’s platform that I’ve ever seen,” wrote a Twitter user.

Kanye West is running for the upcoming US election 2020. He will compete as a write-in candidate in most states.

Earlier in July, West had formally announced his intention to run in the Presidential election campaign.

The American rapper had also released an advertisement for his presidential campaign.

His advertisement came just 22 days before the forthcoming Election Day.

Kanye shared a video on his Twitter account. In the video, he discussed how Americans should work to strengthen their religion and faith.

“America. What is America’s destiny? What is best for our nation? Our people? What is just? True justice? We have to think about all these things together as a people. To contemplate our future, to live up to our dream, we must have a vision. We as a people will revive our nation’s commitment to faith, to what our constitution calls the free exercise of religion, including, of course, prayer,” he said. “Through prayer, faith can be restored.”

US Coronavirus death toll surpasses 200,000 amidst fears for winter season

US Coronavirus

The United States (US) has surpassed 200,000 deaths from the novel coronavirus till date.

According to a rolling tally by Johns Hopkins University, more than 200,000 US citizens have died and 6.86 million have been confirmed infected by COVID-19.

The US has had the world’s highest official death toll for months, ahead of Brazil and India, with 137,272 and 88,935 deaths respectively.

Overall, the US accounts for 4% of the world’s population and 20% of its recorded coronavirus deaths.

Critics say the statistics expose the Trump administration’s failure to meet its sternest test ahead of the November 3 election.

“Due to Donald Trump’s lies and incompetence in the past six months, (we) have seen one of the gravest losses of American life in history,” his Democratic rival Joe Biden said.

“With this crisis that required serious presidential leadership, he just wasn’t up to it. He froze… and America has paid the worst price of any nation in the world.”

While insisting that the United States is already “rounding the corner,” Trump has high hopes that the swift approval of a Covid-19 vaccine will boost his reelection chances.

“We will distribute a vaccine, we will defeat the virus, we will end the pandemic, and we will enter a new era of unprecedented prosperity, cooperation and peace,” Trump said in a recorded message to the UN General Assembly on Tuesday.

Trump has previously stated that by April of next year, most Americans who want to be immunized will have a vaccine.

But most experts argue that betting on vaccines is not a viable strategy.

Kanye West details how he stopped Kim Kardashian to go through abortion

US Election 2020

Popular US rapper Kanye West detailed the earlier statements he made about terminating Kim Kardashian’s pregnancy that sent shock waves down social media.

West along with Nick Cannon discussed how his daughter North West, now seven, wouldn’t have been here if he had allowed his wife to go through the abortion process.

“For anyone who wants to tear me down for crying, you realize that because of South Carolina, there are people who have decided to have a child? Because they connected,” he said.

“And if they were on the fence about it, they never saw anyone in my position take that position and say, ‘Look at this. This is a 7-year-old right here. And she might have never made it here,’” West added further.

“So when I talk to my father, my father made me apologize to him for bringing this up publicly. He also said that the abortion culture teaches people that a child isn’t a real soul,” he said.

“And it was my wife that said, ‘This is a soul.’ And the scariest thing is, she had the pills—you know, you take these pills, you take them and the next morning the baby’s gone—she had the pills in her hand.”
