A video of an assault helicopter almost avoiding automobiles on a Ukrainian highway is circulating on social media. The Ukraine Ministry of Defense shared the footage on Twitter on Friday.
“Welcome to Ukraine,” said the caption of the post, which received over 1.2 million views in just a few hours.

A helicopter was seen flying dangerously close to a road in the video. The dramatic scene was captured by a camera inside a vehicle travelling in the opposite way.
Within hours, the video had received over 42,000 likes. Internet users applauded the pilot’s abilities in the comments section.
“The pilot really is a very qualified expert!” wrote one user. “That’s definitely years of training respect for the fighter pilot,” added another.
A third commented, “Not your typical way to commute to work, but everyone has a job to do,” while a fourth explained, “This is one of the methods used to prevent the enemy from spotting the plane. Flying at a very low altitude and following the path of public roads at a speed equal to the speed of cars. that’s cool”.
Meanwhile, Russia has increased its attacks on Ukraine’s crucial infrastructure in recent weeks. Earlier this week, Ukrainians experienced their first large-scale statewide power outages as officials attempted to restrict supply to allow energy providers to rebuild power facilities damaged by Russian air attacks.
According to President Volodymyr Zelensky, Russian air attacks have damaged 30% of Ukraine’s power plants in barely over a week.
