TikTok aims to improve in-app child safety by privatizing accounts under 16

TikTok users aged under sixteen will have their accounts automatically set to private, as the app introduces a series of measures to improve child safety.

According to the details, the video-sharing app all set to take serious steps to ensure child safety by setting accounts private for those under sixteen.

Earlier, an application was filed in the Lahore High Court for banning all social media applications including Bigo, TikTok and Likee.

Waqas Anwar Gujjar Advocate filed a petition in the High Court in which the owners of Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Bigo, TikTok and Likee have been made parties.

The petition contends that youngsters are wasting their time through Bigo, TikTok, Likee and other social media applications, while all social media applications, promote nudity, obscenity and immorality.
