- The Witcher season 3 will arrive in 2023.
- Henry Cavill will reprise his role as Geralt of Rivia.
- It will be his final season before being replaced by Liam Hemsworth.
The Witcher Season 3 Release date, Henry Cavill will reprise his role as Geralt of Rivia.
Season 3 of the Netflix fantasy drama, based on Andrzej Sapkowski’s blockbuster book series, will premiere in the summer of 2023 and will be the final season for leading man Cavill before he is replaced by Liam Hemsworth.
Because this is Cavill’s final season, there will be plenty of action and hopefully some more romance between Geralt and Anya Chalotra’s character, Yennefer. The show will begin where the season two finale left off, immersing viewers even further in Sapkowski’s mystical world of elves, demons, and mages.
Here’s everything we know about The Witcher season 3 so far.
What is it about?
Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri are back together after defeating Voleith Meir. The continent is currently pursuing Ciri.
In April 2022, the show tweeted the season 3 synopsis: “As monarchs, mages, and beasts of the Continent compete to capture her, Geralt takes Ciri of Cintra into hiding, determined to protect his newly-reunited family against those who threaten to destroy it. Entrusted with Ciri’s magical training, Yennefer leads them to the protected fortress of Aretuza, where she hopes to discover more about the girl’s untapped powers; instead, they discover they’ve landed in a battlefield of political corruption, dark magic, and treachery. They must fight back, put everything on the line — or risk losing each other forever.”
