One of the most gifted actors in the Indian showbiz is Shailesh Lodha. The celebrated poet is also a gifted actor. He is best known for playing Taarak Mehta in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, the longest-running television program. The actor made an appearance on The Kapil Sharma Show last year, but after a previous video of him criticizing the show became popular online, people began to tease him. Recently, the actor talked about his remark and offered much-needed clarity in an interview.

Last year, Shailesh Lodha made an appearance on The Kapil Sharma Show. He was questioned throughout the interview about his attendance on the show and the subsequent trolling he experienced. Speaking about his involvement in the program, he said, “Kapil and I have collaborated, and in 2012, the two of us performed at performances in Singapore. Shailesh and Kapil hosted comedy nights at that time. I still stand by what I was attempting to convey at the moment, which was that flirting with guests by Bua and Daadi is improper in our culture. Main sahej nahi hoon, I don’t agree with that brand of comedy. But does it imply that I will never appear on his show while keeping my actions a secret from the public?

He further added, I attended his performance and demonstrated the potency of Hindi poetry. Everyone in the audience stood up crying as I delivered my poem “Maa” on the television. I went there and carried my poems with me. Without a doubt, Kapil is a fantastic artist and friend.”

When asked about some typical humorous occurrences in the modern entertainment industry, such as males dressed as women to amuse the audience or ideas like hitting on other men’s spouses, the speaker continued. He responded, “Unfortunately, we have to acknowledge one thing in this country—we are degenerating into mediocrity. No one wants to see or hear you if you’re attempting to become intelligent. Ninety percent of the crowd is dancing and enjoying the reels on Patli Kamariya today. And no one will listen to you if you try to sound intelligent.”

Today Shailesh Lodha was seen leaving the airport early in the morning. Where is going has not yet been determined. The Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actor looked super stylish in denim and a blue sweatshirt.

The television show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah needs no introduction and can be considered a cult classic. Recently, the cast and crew celebrated its 15 years anniversary, reminiscing about their beautiful journey with the show. However, not every actor in the show has had a positive off-screen experience. Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal, who played Roshan Sodhi, made serious accusations against producer Asit Kumar Modi for sexually harassing and mentally torturing her. Apart from Jennifer, even actor Shailesh Lodha who played Taarak Mehta, Monika Bhadoriya who played Bawri, and Priya Ahuja who played Rita had accused the producer of bullying them and not clearing up their dues. Mistry kept making new revelations every day about how the actors had to beg for even basic necessities like food and water from the makers on a daily basis. As producer Asit Modi faces charges like harassment, bullying, and non-payment of dues from Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal and other actors from the show, he has finally decided to address these allegations. He opened up, “Emotionally I feel sad as I consider everyone like my own family and I have never done wrong with anyone, I have tried to keep everyone to keep everyone happy as I spread happiness through my show. Hence I make sure to keep a positive atmosphere on the sets.”

The producer further said, “Despite all the hurdles the show is successful and those who pass these hurdles succeed in life. Hurdles will come in every successful person’s life. So we have accepted all these challenges and we are fighting the situation with a positive mindset, we have never done wrong with anyone so we do not bother much as we are pure by heart. This is the reason we create comedy and a negative person cannot create comedy. We are fortunate enough to have the audience’s and team’s support.” On the show’s successful journey, Modi said, “Running the show for 15 years, doing comedy daily, it has never happened in the world. It’s been continuous hard work since 2008 to bring new stories every day. I thank my team for bringing this freshness and its God’s grace and the team’s hard work that we ran the show without any leap.”

Shailesh Lodha starred in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah for 14 years. From the start of the popular sitcom in 2008 until a few months ago, the actor portrayed the show’s narrator and title character. Shailesh abruptly left the show earlier this year. The actor discussed his resignation in a recent interview, labelling himself a sentimental idiot for being attached to it.

One of the most well-liked and often-seen sitcoms on Hindi television is Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. It was produced by Asit Kumar Modi and debuted on Sab TV in 2008. After Shailesh left the programme, Sachin Shroff assumed his place in the part. Dilip Joshi, Bhavya Gandhi, Amit Bhatt, and Munmun Datta are also featured in the show.

Shailesh told Siddharth Kannan that he liked the show more and more as time went on. “We Indians are emotional so attachment is natural. I call myself an emotional idiot. I am a sentimental fool. You work on something for 14 years, attachment is natural.”
